The health benefits of Vanilla Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties like antioxidant, aphrodisiac, anti carcinogenic, febrifuge, anti depressant, sedative, tranquilizing and relaxing.

Anti Oxidant: oxidation is one of the causes behind most of our troubles and diseases. It is directly and indirectly responsible for a number of diseases caused by organic malfunctions and infections. Oxidizers or free-radicals cause oxidation of the living cells and tissues and burn them to death. Gradually, this result in weakening of the immunity, loss of memory, organic and nervous malfunctioning, gradual loss of vision & hearing, mental instability, mascular degeneration etc. and the body becomes prone to diseases. The anti oxidant property of Vanilla Essential Oil neutralizes these free radicals and protects the body from wears and tears, infections and even some forms of cancer, such as those of prostrate, colon etc. It also repairs the damages already done to the body.

Skin Care
Since it is a powerful antioxidant, vanilla essential oil is used for skin care as well. A few drops of vanilla oil when added to any face pack prevent damage of the skin cells, due to the toxic action of pollutants and toxins.

Aphrodisiac
A systematic administration of Vanilla Essential Oil to the patients of impotency, erectile dysfunction, frigidity, loss of libido etc. can relieve them of their problems, and it is well proven. This oil stimulates secretion of certain hormones like testosterone, estrogen etc. which help bring about normal sexual behavior and promotes arousal.

Elements such as Eugenol and Vanillin Hydroxybenzaldehyde present in vanilla essential oil helps in reducing and healing fever. These elements fight germ causing infections and reduce inflammation, thereby boosting immunity.

Anti Carcinogenic
The anti-carcinogenic properties in vanilla essential oil help in neutralizing free radicals that are responsible for causing certain types of cancers like prostrate, colon, etc. Vanilla essential oil also helps in preventing the growth of cancerous cells.

Mild Sedative
Vanilla essential oil is known to contain sedative properties that soothe all types of inflammations and hyperactivity in the body systems. The oil helps in sedating inflammation caused due to stress, anxiety, allergy, fever and convulsions.

Tranquilizing
Vanilla essential oil promotes a good and sound sleep by providing a calming and relaxing effect to the brain and the nerves. It also helps in reducing blood pressure, due to its sedative and relaxing properties.

Directions
1.Melt the oil and beeswax together.
2.Remove from heat.
3.When the mixture has cooled to lukewarm, stir in essential oil and the vitamin E.
4.Transfer to a small container.
5.Stir occasionally while cooling . If a thicker gloss is desired, increase the amount of beeswax

Instructions:
1.Combine the bicarbonate of soda and citric acid and run it through a sieve.
2.Add the essential oil(s) and blend well.
3.Grate cocoa butter using a drum grater. The Cocoa butter will melt at skin temperature so try to not touch it too much. Add the grated cocoa butter.
4.Spritz lightly with witch hazel while stirring continuously until you get to the stage where the mixture JUST sticks.
5.Pack the mixture into both halves of the mould and squish together.
6.Let dry for a few minutes, pop out and let dry for a further 3 – 4 hours on wax paper.
7.Relax and enjoy in a hot bath!
